On The Cap: Rolled Gold Made In England


On The Barrel Above Clip Band: Whetham London


Is Whetham The name of the company that made the pencil?


In the cartouche is COLFIX  I believe that is an advertiser


Any help with identification appreciated

Whetham is not in the list with known brands for the UK, but that list is mainly for FPs and some MPs. Neither is Colfix.



BTW, there was a mr Whetham who was the Lord Mayor of London in the 1870s

So it just might be the name of a gentleman who used it.
