christof, your collection of Pelikan 100s (and one Ibis?) is truly a sight to behold. May I ask what the fourth from the left is known as?

It's an early (1931) Pelikan 100 with a rather uncommon striped (not Marbeled) binde:

Thanks, christof. :) I like this uncommon colour much better than the usual green.

I made mine myself. Got the fabric off eBay, and adapted a pattern I found on a blog somewhere. I also added extra padding between the layers of fabric as it is only thin cotton. They are pretty straightforward to make (although the finish on mine is pretty rough).

You inspired me to make a 2 pen wrap for my purse.

I see that you have Visconti. What nib do you write with and how do you like them? There is a new Visconti limited edition wall street which is about to come out soon. Believe it will come in an extra fine point nib. I do not recall in many years having the experience of a Visconti and wondered what your experience is with them.

I have the Wall Street LE, Divina Maxi and a Homo Sapiens all with a fine nib. They all write smooth and wet and are amongst my favourite writers.

The only down side I've found is the after sales support if it's required. The Wall Street LE had to go back to Italy which took six months with no communication in between.

Share what's in your various pen cases at the moment! I really only have one case, though I'm always looking for a sale to get another few.

And how do you decide what goes in your cases if you have more pens than can fit in them? Do expensive pens get first dibs? Or maybe ones with sentimental value get the first chance at leathery protection?

They are definitely beautiful. Curious, since I have never seen so many at one time, owned by one person. Do they all have the same nib? Or do you vary with the nib of several or have in other words a variety? I know you love them all, the left side seems a bit more interesting to me for some reason.  :puddle:  :notworthy1:

Most of my pens, especially the right side are Indian-made eyedropper pens. With these pens, I replace the nibs with nibs I purchase from FPR or other sources. When I'm ready to use one of these pens, I usually replace the nib with one I feel using for a few weeks.

I only write with extra fine nibs, western and not European. I believe the European would probably find me using a fine nib. You perhaps do not have reason, but I have found Goulet #6 nibs to be some of the best I have  used. I replaced a couple of my original nibs with these. I have not tried to make any of my fountain pens Eyedroppers. I do not believe I have an interest for one particular ink to write using it for any extended length of time.

I'm cheap, so I only use cheap nibs from various sources online. The most expensive nib I use are the 3 for $20 flex #6 nibs from FPR. They work great most times, every now and then they need a little tuning to work just right.
