Noodler's Ink Is Returning To Glass Bottles

I have two, La Couleur Royale of the proper purply-blue colour, and Liberty's Elysium.

When I have finished them, it would be interesting to see what I can get for them empty on eBay, given some of the totally immoral prices asked for empty Quink bottles...

I'm wondering the same thing. Business spat? Net troll? Something else?

Dearest members and Visitors of our little Fountain Pen Nut House on the digital prairie,

John is the official representative of Luxury Brands USA, and represents Noodlers' Ink.

There has been a problem, really over the last 10 years or so, with a certain individual, account name "Chemyst", first going against Noodler's inks, and next replying to topics in such a way that it looks like he is the owner of Noodlers'. This person also uses/used an email address similar to the owner's, creates profile, status update entries and messages which seem to indicate he represents Noodlers', and even started signing his messages with "-Nathan".

Besides that he has been know to skirt the edges with regard to what was allowed here on FPN, and managed and manages to upset people in such a way, that those do go over the edge.

We were now at a stage where people are thinking he actually is the owner of Noodlers'

He also follows every step the owner of Noodlers' takes, digitally and otherwise, and this is not just a step too far, this is stalking and cyberstalking, and we take this very, very seriously.

In short, the "net troll" actually is Chemyst.

An intervention therefore was due, and matters are handed over to the authorities as we speak.

In this light, John of Luxury Brands USA stepped in to clear up some of the misrepresentations, as we are doing now as well.

So, if you see a post by John in response to a reply by Chemyst, you now know why.

Chemyst's account has been suspended in the mean time.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
