I have recently been bitten by “Parker” bug and thus in rotation today is one of the vintage iconic pen from Parker stable , Parker 25 – Black LE with medium nib and it is inked with Rohrer and Klingner Fernambuk.

Today’s thought is inspired by American economist, William Raduchel.

The pen is with conical shaped steel nib and it writes wet. I am really thankful to Ravi of Pens Point for arranging this one for me.

I must say, mehandiratta, that your handwriting is absolutely gorgeous!

For me, so far, it's been a Pelikan M200, M nib, finishing up a fill of Pelikan Turquoise, and then finishing up the last page of morning pages with the Pilot Metropolitan, M nib, and Iroshihzhuku Tsuyu-kusa (I'm nothing if not consistent in my inconsistency... although perhaps a more accurate word would be "inconstancy"... ;)). But it's not even 10 AM EDT -- and I have two OTHER pens at the ready: Noodler's Charlie with slightly diluted Noodler's Bay State Blue, and A Noodler's FPC with Diamine Oxford Blue (I'm liking Oxford Blue more and more -- especially after discovering it SHEENS....).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Pelikan Souverän M600 BBB retipped and modified by J. Mottishaw to a CI with Pelikan Edelstein Jade.

Paper is Clairefontaine 90 gsm French rulled 17x22 cms notebook. I rebind these staplebound notebooks into journals (handsewn coptic stitch binding).

Pure bliss.

Love the elegance of this pen, and the double broad stub is just up my alley!

Kaweco Sports Ice black. At first I found its design a bit weird, but now I'm in love with it. I will make it an eyedropper. Can't wait!!

Montblanc StarWalker Red Gold Metal Fineliner with a MB Black Fineliner refill when fountain pen ink won't work.

Today it is the Nakaya Piccolo Writer in Kikyo with a music nib.

http://www.fototime.com/B3D342EA4446D43/medium800.jpg

It's considerably smaller than yesterday's pen.

Kikyo is the color of the Chinese Bellflower and symbolizes love and honesty. The nib is honestly BIG.

Today I'm using a Schneider Base violet with (surprise!) Pelikan 4001 violet. Kinda on the nose to ink a purple pen with purple ink, I know. To be honest, I had forgotten I had inked this pen and was pleasantly surprised to see it writing smoothly after... what, a month?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
