Haven't posted in awhile I received the the box as a Christmas gift. For higher resolution pictures you can view the ablum here: https://imgur.com/a/tm5vH.
Scroll to the bottom for pics of the collection, which started in Dec. 2014. Note, I left my StarWalker Mystery Black FP in my office desk so it's not included in the pictures.
My wife really wants me to get the Luciano Pavarotti Limited Edition 98, but we'll see. I tend to like to buy the pens sealed and there are none available for this pen.

The Leonardo was a pain to find new and sealed but we finally did during our travels.

I forget the exact price, but in excess of $700.00 in the US. It is my understanding there was very limited availability. It took a little bit of work by my local Boutique to track one down for me.

Thanks Toll! A little rich for my blood, but good to know.

I also ordered one recently! Same here, the boutique took a little while to get one, initially not committing to getting it, but it's supposed to arrive later this week. Price was $705. I like that this latest batch has silver hardware. I've seen older boxes that were gold. While I wait for mine I'll stare at the pictures in this thread!!

Beautiful collection and thank you for sharing some wonderful pictures!

These collection boxes are a great way to store and display your collection.

The new boxes (silver trim) are superior to the previous ones (gold trim). The differences are the following:

- key is now sturdier, presents a MB logo;

- the opening mechanism is much smoother with a spring preventing it from closing abruptly;

- the drawers have small pitches on the side to grab them easily;

- the box now sits on four small rubber circles instead of a soft material on the whole surface.

Kind regards,

S.

Great box ! A local FPN member has one of these and they certainly enhanced the pens :-)

I used a tester box sometime ago to put some pens in put didnt really hit the mark due to the slots being lettered according to the nib type of pen that should be in there.

I will refrain from quoting my wife and instead state; world war three :P

Here is a quote I once spotted on here which must echo some of us more 'economical with the truth' members.....

"one of my biggest fears is that when I die my wife will sell my pens for the prices I told her I have paid for them"

oh the horror of facing the facts !!!!!

I use the same collection box, fantastic for storing some of the collection. Would be great if it came in a three or four drawer version:

Nice collection. Why two Leonardos?

I picked up a matching serial number set of both the fountain pen and rollerball.

Very nice. I wouldn't mind adding another Leonardo to the collection but the one I want is essentially unattainable new.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
