My Nakaya Mini Decapod in Kuro-tamenuri pen with a two-toned 14K nib customized with Kanji characters has finally made it through the agonizing 2 week trek in the postal delivery service to my house!!!

 

Alas, I'm stuck at work at the moment but I wanted to document my excitement for posterity.

 

It has arrived a couple months ahead of the original 6 months quoted time which is just in time for Christmas! Brilliant.

 

I hope I don't have an accident rushing home.

I hate it when that happens - or when you are working from the home office and the new pen arrives at your company office on Friday and you have to wait till Monday to go and pick it up..... :(

Congrat for the new pen.

 

I always ship my pen to work.

 

My colleagues always said that i have serious issue with pen. Well, they are right.

I do the same thing (and have the same reaction from my colleagues). Unfortunately, my office is being renovated so I've had to send my pen-related shipments to my house. I can't wait for these renovations to be finished... ;)

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
