According to the e-mail I received, this offer is good until Sunday the 29th while supplies last. I decided to get one because I've always been curious about Levenger's fountain pens and this 79% off deal was a pretty good deal on one. Hopefully the pen will be nice.

Also, the e-mail I received says that you can get free shipping with the code FREE1115, no minimum required. It looked like it worked on my order, so I'd suggest giving it a try if you're going to place an order. You may not have to pay shipping.

BillZ told me about this.

I told him thanks, but I'm trying not to buy any more pens until January.

My resolve lasted about 15 minutes.

I got charged a penny for shipping, too.

Levenger nibs are really amazing! I have two true writers that use the same nib as the above mentioned pen. I also have the true writer select nib sampler set. I use the true writer select nibs in my bexley pens just because they are very nice writers!

$19 for the whole pen is better then what they charge for just the nib!

Shipping was .01 for me too without a code. Not sure I'll like the green, but was the only one that still had a fine nib. I have a true writer medium that I don't quite like because of the nib. Site says this nib would fit other levenger pens, so I may swap nibs depending on which pen I like better.

I've already got both colors they have available, but at those prices I'm tempted to get a couple more as gifts and whatnot.

I only ordered one in blue. I used the code for free shipping but was charged $.01USD. Go figure!

Appears sold out as of Tuesday evening. Will they issue "rain checks"? Say offer is open until Sunday. Maybe check back later.

Had to go for green, which us fine and will be my first grren FP; decided on a medium nib, hoping for smoothness that might not be there with a finer nib.

Ah yes. My apologies. It does run until Sunday the 29th. When I had originally looked at the page on Sunday the 22nd, they just said "offer ends on Sunday!" Or the like and did not specify a date. I assumed it was ending that night.

Happy hunting!

I was notified about this sale by one of our esteemed members! I purchased two, Blue/Green in M and F nibs. I will be interested to see how the pen writes!

I tried to order this a few days ago, and in fact thought I had, only to find out it was 'oversold'. When I called Levenger to inquire they suggested I call their Chicago store located in Macys. 312-781-3140 They have a number of the pens left as I write this (just got off the phone with them) and offer the same free shipping deal as the website. Warning: the guy who answers the phone sounds a bit harried so please be patient (business must be booming at Macys). Good luck!

Reading this, I just checked my order, and sure enough it says "Cancelled"! No notification from Levenger was sent, and paypal has already sent them the $19.01. Pretty sure I've never heard of a retailer doing something like this, at least I haven't experienced it before. What a crock.

Edit: Just checked with PayPal and sure enough money is gone, and no refund posted. Classy to expect immediate payment on order, but delay refunds on canceling. Anyway, I started a PayPal dispute process. I'm confident I'll get the funds back, but for a company that equates it's brand with classy, they're not living up to it.

Paypal issued me a refund for the amount this morning, that's how I found out the original order was cancelled. Try the Chicago store #, they might still have some left. I've always had good service with Levenger. I don't think they really expected how fast this pen would sell out.

Thanks for the lead. I think I'll pass on scrambling for it. The impulse part of the buy is now gone. A great deal, but not something I had considered purchasing before. I also don't understand why if they have stock in stores, they aren't the ones scrambling to fulfill orders they took.

Hope you enjoy your pen, and have a great Thanksgiving.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
