Looking For Recommendation

Recommended Posts

I frequently speak in public from handwritten notes and am looking for some sort of professional leather like cover to cover the notes, so it doesn't look like I'm holding a pile of losse paper. When I used legal pads, I would place a pad in a leather folder, and the pad was both secure and covered. With loose sheets, achieving these two goals are proving difficult. Could anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks

A sincere man am I
From the land where palm trees grow,
And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

All those moments will be lost in time.
Like tears in rain.
Time to die.

I need something for standard 8.5x11 paper that will replace, and allow me to do the same kind of thing as, this:

I saw this before but was trying to avoid the unsightly clip at the top. But now that you're suggesting it, I am wondering if something like that might be my only option, considering I am dealing with loose papers.

Another possibility that comes to mind, if you're willing to invest a little (or a lot) more money, is Staples's Arc System or Levenger's Circa System. A nice leather or poly cover, a punch (Levenger's 1-2-3 punch is a good buy), and you're good to go. I use both (they're interchangeable), and love their flexibility.

Thanks for the link. I'm looking for something more streamlined.

Like a faux leather version of this, but where the metal would clip the paper rather than need to puncture it.

Just got one of these:

I use the large size. I added a standard 8x11 envelope system I bought at Office Depot for putting my loose notes in when I speak. It also works with 8x11 spiral bound notebook as well.

looks like this works only with notebooks or legal pads. I need something to secure loose sheets of paper.

I have the A5 size and it will hold loose sheets of A4 paper and everything smaller like A5. I also sometime clip in receipts and travel documents.

It is up to you but imho if you use good paper the "previous" page will do its best to close the "current" one.

My children are now at college and use 3 x 5 inch index cards for revision they wanted something to hold these cards and yet allow them to be moved around as required.

Tis is a prototype and will need to be wrapped in a suitable leather I don't know if they are available commercially but I think it would meet your needs.

What about something like this:

They are having a black friday sale today and I have used this company many times without issue. They have excellent service.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
