We now have 4 admins/moderators : KCat, Manix_08, Chris Burton, and your servant

onto the technical stuff :
FPN is an "Invision Power Board" (IPB) based forum. IPB is a widely used software and it's major advantage, beside it's user friendly interface, is the fact that posts and member settings can be saved regularly and restored, even to a different web host. I saved all posts and settings yesterday, after the few hours "blackout".
The blackouts : we are hosted by QuickFox.org. Quickfox is a free host, ran by a few guys who think that web hosting should be free. The service is great (specailly for the price

I plan to move to Beigetower.org when they are ready to open new accounts. It's also free. It's being re-designed right now, but it is a very stable host, with faster servers. When we move, current Admins will be given access to the host account.
There are many free IPB hosts, which are fast and give a good service, BUT : they limit greatly data space, in a fashion that would block the board after a few image posting. Most of them also disable the option to save the database (posts, settings, etc...). So if we see middle to long-term, they are not very good options...
Any questions, suggestions will be appreciated.
Denis.
