M805 Stresemann

Is it possible to purchase this pen body/cap only? If so, where?

Thanks!

If not possible, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced purchase from a reputable vendor?

I bought it mine from Iguana Sell from Spain.

It seems the more affordable price and shipping, and they absorbe the import taxes in the USA,

Hope helps,

I also recommend Fritz Schimpf. I would inquire of the various retailers whether they would sell the pen without the nib and what the adjusted price would be. I have a feeling that it may just make better financial sense to buy the pen with the nib as the body and cap alone is likely to still be pretty expense and not much cheaper than without a nib.

I bought recently a Pelikan m805 F, on amazon.de, under the number 957662, FP which is a perfect copy of the Stresemann, without the name, and by checking on Google, I found, sold on ebay, a lot of 805 Stresemann, bearing this same number, mostly by the same seller, Martemodena!

Could they be fakes or second choice Stresemanns?

Besides, my FP, sold as a F, is rather close to a B.

Any info?

Hi everybody:

I have bought several Deltas from Marco Rossi, martemodena from Italy,

In my opinion a very reliable and professional dealer, with the best conditions for Deltas in the market,

I saw the link and no way is a fake, for the dealer, the pics and the price,

Hi Sergio.

My Stresemann is a fine nib and write a perfect 'FM' line, as most of Pelikan modern nibs.

I'm curious, since it seems to be a consensus that there haven't been fake Pelikans around. Could you provide more information and, perhaps, photos? What makes you think it is not the original pen?

When you say "a copy of the Stresemann, without the name", what exactly do you mean? The Stresemann doesn't have the name engraved.

I googled Pelikan and the number you mentioned and saw the pictures from Martemodena that come up: there is nothing there that would indicate a fake in my opinion. Also, the same search shows the Stresemann in other reputable sellers.

When you say that your F writes like a B, you mean B from which manufacturer? Even if it is Pelikan itself, I wouldn't think much of it since some variation is known to happen sometimes. In addition, Pelikans are wet and the ink used also may have some effect in this.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Pelikan sells second choice pens - at least I never heard of it. In any case, no brand would allow a vendor to sell second choice without explicit warning.

And your point is? Of course all pens of this identical type (M805 Stresemann with F nib) have the same EAN, just as all M805 black blue silver with M nib like mine have the 933430.

Thank you for your comments! My point was : it is a Stresemann,OK, sold without the name , but why amazon.de would sell for 300 euros a FP that amazon.fr and most of the sellers propose at 450 euros and more?

Conclusion: I had a very good deal!

When I write "sold without the name", I mean that generally the Pelikan Stresemann is sold as a Stresemann, mine was simply sold as a Pelikan M805 F, that's all!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
