I did not see this listed as an option, but by any chance is the pen available with a JoWo 1.1 nib?

Thanks.

Please add me for a olive with pink ripple and black specs, bakul (including the section), and I will take a broad Bock/Conklin nib.

Is there an easy way to covert one of my smooth version ranga ebonite pens to the bakul version? Just light sand? What grit paper?

Thanks

Hey Mehandiratta and Mr Kandan,

I would love one of the cartridge/converters with the 1.5mm stub in the #3 black ebonite. Unfortunately I am in the middle of moving out into the countryside (I already live in the middle of nowhere as Mr Mehandiratta knows from the nib buy) and would not be able to send the funds until Wednesday the 9th of December when I have Internet again.

Would these beautiful pens still be available then?? Or could I put one on hold?

Either way, I wish you well with this group, the pens look awesome !

Dear Mr. Kandan,

I'd like to purchase the black ranga 5 with the matte finish. a steel medium Jowo nib and a converter. I was also wondering if it would be possible to order a few extra nibs and if they are the type that screw into the section?

thanks,

David

I hope you are feeling better, Vaibhav. Thanks again for organizing another successful group buy.

I an ordering a Model 5 in solid orange with the JoWo 1.5 nib. I've been in touch with Mr. Kandan, and he is going to send along another JoWo nib, this one an F, so that I can go back and forth between the two. What fun.

Cheers.

My black matte/bakul ED Model 5 arrived. I love the matte finish. The production quality of this pen is really outstanding.

Swapping the stock 35 mm nib for a 40 mm Ambitious nib was straightforward. To my eye, the larger nib complements the pen very well.

Next up is to pick an ink. I am thinking MB Permanent Gray.

Wow, that is a lovely pen. The nib looks just right. In most lights, the bakul, to my eye (I have a Model 3), appears grayish, so a gray ink would be very appropriate - my opinion.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
