I've ordered it three times, and they never made it to the Netherlands (within two monts). I'm still hoping to receive them one day.

It's not a lot of money, so I will probably not even send the seller an email about it.

A collector of inks, currently doing my own ink challenge.

wijko, I did send an email when I got the "You have to wait before you buy again" message because I had never bought from the seller before. It was clear from the response that the seller's English was too limited to understand (or he/she was using an old ploy). "I DID NOT RECEIVE MY PEN" may be simple enough and worth the effort.

I sent them an email yesterday. This is their reply:

We apologize for the delay of shipment.
Please confirm your shipping address:

If the address is right, would you please contact your local post office to inquiry if the package arrives?
Sometimes the delivery would be delayed or left in the post office.
If not, do not worry, we will offer you a better solution.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

Best wishes
Carol

This reply doesn't say anything. I wonder what "a better solution" is?

"Carol" - like the guy in this commercial.

Carol sent me the same reply. I guess it's an insurmountable, yet convenient-for-them language barrier.

A couple of Baoer 519s that I ordered on January 2 arrived (Connecticut, U.S.) today. 11 days. All this tells us, I suppose, is that either the mail delivery in China is erratic or the order-filling practices are.

I told "Carol" that the post office wasn't able to check for the package because the tracking number they provided didn't work. They asked if it would be acceptable to send another one. I said sure, why not.

I got a Matte Black one in the mail the other day. Great Pen! Really a nice writer. Everyone should get a few and give them away. Good for the hobby.

I bought one in mid December and it still hasn't arrived.

Send them a message and aske them to send a new. That's what they offered to me when my pen didn't arrive.

Yesterday I received a message from the X450 seller urging me in charming, cumbersome English, to leave feedback. I responded that my pen arrived quickly (10 days) and that I would indeed leave positive feedback. She replied (her name is Sarah this time) with gushing gratitude. Where else can you have such a delightful exchange for 99 cents?

One message from Carol opens with: "Hi:

This e-mail probably disturb you,but I'm concerning about whether you have received your item?"

They're probably hacking our accounts and secretly preparing to drain them en masse.

AND dispatching secret Ninja Squads to your address to seize those pens you have been purchasing!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
