possible book titles (I also got a number of unique title suggestions, which
I appreciate and am mulling over as well).

I'm still taking 'votes' and am getting additional feedback from various
social media outlets. So far:

As one of the Conklin Heritage models, the Word Gauge piston-filler
reintroduces a classic Conklin model from the company's illustrious past --
in a deep, lustrous pearlescent Italian resin for the blue, and a rich ebony
Italian resin for the black.
Unlike the limited edition version which listed -- and sold -- for $295.00,
these non-limited-edition pens are exactly the same -- except they list for
$195.00 (which means your price is $156.00)! Engraved on the barrel is 'Word
Gauge' and 'Made in Italy'.

The pen measures 5-1/2" capped, 6-1/2" posted and 5" with cap held aside.
It's the first piston-fill since YAFA resurrected the brand and reintroduces
the markings on the transparent yellow ink reservoir that 'gauge' the number
of words written (this will of course vary between nib size chosen). The
scale has markings for 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 or 5000 words -- with a bit of
wiggle room beyond that.

Need your help

For the past 18 years I've been supplying tools to writers, specifically
fountain pens, through my website http://www.hisnibs.com.

The reason for this post is that I've started a non-fiction book to share
what I learned about mentally controlling chronic pain as a child,
subsequent to an automobile accident at age six. There's a little bit about
it here

quick summary I underwent 4 or 5 major leg surgeries between age six and
thirteen -- each time being encased in a bodycast for months at a time.

The 'meat' of the book will focus on those mental techniques that came to me
rather spontaneously as a child while confined to bed, and how I came to
relate to chronic pain in a new way -- a way that brought me both physical
and emotional relief. I'm couching those techniques in my personal story, as
both a backdrop and as a way to access that same mental perspective for the
reader. Although this is the first time that I'm sharing the experience in
written form, I've successfully taught a number of people who where
suffering chronic pain, one-on-one, so I'm confident of the value of the
information.

Although the subtitle will hopefully sum up the foregoing in a pithy
sentence , I'd love to get your feedback to several titles that have been
rolling around in my head. Believe it or not, the first two came to me while
thinking of the release of pain -- and *not* in relation to being in a
bodycast! I could comment on what each one now means to me, but I'd rather
not influence any comments from you.

These are in the order that they came to me (and I do have a favorite now),
but perhaps you can respond with a visceral 'I like #...the best. Thanks for
any replies and feedback about *why* one title might appeal to you the most!
