I agree with the reviewer. Although, its good and fun to write with the medium nib Platinum preppy but i use it more to mark things in my journal than actually writing with it.

 

Which one is your favorite Platinum Preppy: the medium one or the fine one?

I like the medium one as it is much smoother than the fine one.

Actually, it is the fine Platinum Preppy that led me into fountain pen. But to me, the fine one writes like a ballpoint. The medium feels much better and writes more like a proper fountain pen.

I guess you are into medium nibs. No doubt its more smooth and wet than the finer one, but i dont know why i find it hard to write with medium nibs. One of my favorite pens Jinhao X450 (so wet and smooth) and yet i just use it for signature or small notes. I can't fill pages with it.

 

Maybe, its all about the preference :)
