I just wanted to share with you another work I did for the same girl. The first one is like the one I showed before: very big in size, with lavender leather and a paper she gave me for the covers.

With the left overs of the papers, she asked me to make another one. For this one I used the technique of escartivanas, as you will see on the last image. This technique is used when the books don't open that well, but in that case she just wanted them because she liked them.

Thank you Anna for making them for me and for posting them here on FPN :D

I was more than pleased with your work and look forward to getting more in the future!

Luma, you made great investments. My notebook from Anna is one of my most treasured pen items. I've been considering doing an Inky Thoughts ongoing snapshot of the notes. I really love everything about this notebook.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

That's exactly why I ended up buying multiple journals! Some to give away... some to keep. Now if I can just get through them quickly so I can order more!! :)

I'm thinking that I should do one of these as the next UBER CRV.

I'd love to see what you have done with it :D :D :D.

I guess you must be Susan! I will most probably finish it today and ship it later on the afternoon. I have already made the covers, and the combination of black leather and the chiyogami paper you chose looks great! You actually chose my favorite chiyogami paper hehe.

Hehe good thing I don't plan to travel again anytime soon!! :D :D.

What is an UBER CRV?

I've been so busy lately I wasn't able to share with you the outcome of the last wips. Here it is: burgundy leather with chiyogami paper. 100 pages of white Torreon paper (200 counting both sides).

I have some more projects that I have to share with all of you :P.

Hope you like it and thanks for watching! :D

Anna, those are beautiful!

As for an uberCRV, one is happening very soon with your journal.

Thank you, Amber!

That's nice to know! Even though... I didn't understand too much when you said what it was... hehe. Would you mind explaining it again? I talked to my boyfriend, and we both had pretty different ideas of what it was ^^'.

An Uber CRV means un CRV Gigantisimo!!!

Translation: The Uber CRV is a massive CRV. It includes various inks, FP's and a group of people. The first person starts it with their inky contribution, then passes it to the next and so on and so forth. It only ends when there is either no more ink to add or the pages run out. With the 400 pages in the book you made me, it should hold thousands of ink samples. Your beautiful book will be famous and happy once the Uber CRV is over.

Now I do get it! I was right, my boyfriend had the wrong idea hehe. 400 pages... but 800 counting both sides!! A lot of ink samples may go in there!

Great explanation.

Now I get it, it is very similar to what LuMA did with her journals, instead hers was more of a creative contribution, while the CRV focuses on inks, right?

:D

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
