$10 Off $35 Jet.com

OCArt

Recommended Posts

Jet.com has a coupon for $10 off any order of $35 or more. The code is TENBUCKSNOW. Free shipping and no tax in my state. A good selection of fountain pen inks, some pens, and a variety of grocery and household goods. I wanted to get a bottle of Diamine Blue Velvet and found their prices very competitive.

I have no affiliation with them, just a first-time shopper.

AND "finding" the inks is a nice "refresher exercise" for shopping @ SUBCULTURE! But as shopping @ Subculture the prices are indeed lower if you persevere thru the "search" function. Thank you for this link & savings update on the first time shopper coupon.

Anyone understand Jet.com's business model? Are they just a marketplace for venders? For some reason their pictures of bottled ink, for instance, is logoed with ipenstore.com. Is that who I'd be buying from indirectly, or are they ripping off ipenstore's art? I'm guessing they're just a marketplace for ipenstore, but can't find reassurance in their About section.

I just ordered some ink, it told me that the ink I bought was coming from ipenstore and the paper I bought was coming from buy.com

Life isn't always what you make it. Sometimes it just falls in your lap and you have to deal with it.

Jet.coms business model is to copy Amazon's business model - they said that themselves. I wouldn't think they are ripping off the art of another store, but that the other store is a vendor on their website. I am a vendor on Amazon (nothing to do with pens) and was recruited by Jet but did not accept, except as a customer. Apparently at some point they want to charge to be a customer there, like a warehouse store but online.

Have not bought anything yet but the 20% off coupon over $35 in the above post looks good to me...

Woot! Thanks to OCArt I just got a good deal. Both the 20% off and the TENBUCKSNOW are still active. I grabbed a red Lamy Safari M and 2 three packs of Z24 converters bringing me to a total of $42+ and then entered TENBUCKSNOW since that would provide me the greater of the two discounts available. I was then offered additional savings if I used a debit card instead of a credit card so I checked out with Paypal. My total for the pen and 6 converters was $32.48.

You're right, it was the vender. I went ahead and downloaded their app, which gave a $15 saving code for $35 purchase. Got four bottles of ink for about $20 with shipping. All arrived quickly and as promised.

Well I've gotten my red Safari M for the low price of $15.14 and it's great. The converters I ordered at the same time have yet to ship. We shall see how it works out ordering from Jet. So far with no shipment of the converters I'm not very impressed.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
