Any experience with GBA pens in the UK? They have a lot of Italian pens and when I looked today many were on sale.

I've bought several pens, nibs and accessories from them. All transactions went smoothly and if they had something I wanted I would not hesitate to purchase from them.

 

I believe they were formerly and are the UK distributor for several of the brands they sell.

 

The low prices, by UK standards, of some of their pens are (I believe) accounted for by the fact that when the brand changed distributor, GBA was left with quite a bit of stock on their hands.

Yes, similarly have had several good experiences buying pens from them in the past - going back about two years now though.

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
