Wow, this felt like a long long wait and thanks to my genius mailman, my package was actually back at the PO days ago. Finally sorted it out and I'll admit, I was more excited abt this package than I was for the equally new Destiny for PS4.

Firstly tho, the pens are (in theory) a present for my GF, who recently got bumped up a few notches in the hierarchy.

Shout out to La Couronne Du Compte - pleasure to deal with, exceedingly trustworthy - buy with confidence.

Dankjewel Dennis!

Soooooo, thats it. Anti climax right? Muhahahaha.

Like I said, the stuff above are presents so will have to wait for someone else to open, will post pics afterwards :)

Both the M and Starwalker are similar in sz. Rollerball on the M and Ballpoint on the Starwalker

Very understated, very simple - maybe too simple to some. But we like it.

Must've seen hundreds of pics of this pen by now but there's nothing like seeing it in someone's hand for relative sz. Weight is just right too I think. Just enough heft for it feel substantial but not too weighty.

Feels nice in the hand. Definitely NO POSTING on this pen.

Worried abt the metal ribs on the fingers when writing? No problem. Not sharp, won't cut and is very comfy. Some ppl were worried abt this on other forums

I quite like the Starwalker. I thought we wld both be entirely focused on the M, given its newness but the Starwalker totally held up well against the new pen on the block!

Also very very comfy in the hands. The ol' floating and disappearing Montblanc emblem is still pretty cool. Nice party trick when fooling around with lil' cousin.

Cldnt very well buy the pens without some body armour!

I was very curious abt the magnetic self guiding cap. I'm not too sure how I feel abt this yet.

It really isnt that 'powerful' really, I was expecting it to be strong and almost forceful when it aligns itself to the emblem at the bottom of the pen but it wasnt. Cool feature though.

Can the cap on the new "M" pen be posted? You wrote "no posting" but I wasn't sure if you meant out of personal preference or if it physically can't be posted.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
