Bought some more, including a replacement Baoer 388 in green; somehow the front end got fractured at the middle - enough so that the thing was starting to leak 54th Massachusetts and was off at an odd angle. Not wanting to tempt fate, I just got a new one. Would have picked up some of the Diamine inks but didn't see anything that Tripped My Trigger.

Todd, are you going to receive some of the TWSBI Mini Vacs coming out in December?

Yes, we will have them in a couple of days.

Got some Diamine inks and a TWSBI Eco from Todd. Great, patient seller. Lightning fast shipping, and everything was well-packed. Thank you so much, Todd!

Thanks and it's a pleasure dealing with you. Some Diamine still left is listed very cheap.

We just lowered the price and put the entire Vintage section on sale. Check them out as this is a very nice large selection of rare pens. Most are

restored or working NOS from my personal collection.

Todd, I remember asking when will you have other Nussbaum pens. I have (2) of them, and love the Jon Ross blue/white. Looking forward to some future Nussbaum options.

Todd's store was what I call a great retailer. He was super prompt in shipping, helpful and a trustworthy businessman. His pricing was also competitive.

Does anyone know of a similar online store that you care to recommend?

The best alternative I can offer is Pen Chalet; when they have a sale ,& they are frequent, they are a percentage off EVERYTHING on their site, offer reasonable shipping, VERY fair markups of prices on their products carried & ship SAME DAY, with excellent communication regarding orders or questions, whether by electronic mail or telephone. They may not carry as extensive line of products as others, but they have also ordered things that did NOT have for me. I try to always check if the item I want is available from them; I know I will be happy with the purchase from them & not have to worry about being charged more than I could find it for elsewhere.

I am going to miss them, but I see some Streetfair ads on ebay. It was nice to buy from a Michigan seller just down the road a piece.

I like Streetfair; that was one of the first places I bought from and I still do. :)

Good idea to support local. They are about 30 mins from my house.

I just ordered from JetPens. Very fast shipping, which was free since I ordered over $25.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
