Went to my first pen show and got a very nice Parker 51. Black. I am still looking for my Parker in Dove, but this one will do for now. :D

Not a fountain pen, but a really nice BMW pen.

My pilot custome heratage 912 with fa nib arrived today.

WTB Sheaffer Balance oversized with a flex nib, semi flex, broad, or medium in carmine red or grey striated.

 

Wtb Sheaffer Pfm in black or blue with a medium or broad nib.

Just returned from a trip to New York, where I (on the advice of many FPNers) visited Fountain Pen Hospital. (Nice place to drive your self crazy, by the way). I wanted to get a pen from the shop, and after looking around, decided on a modestly priced ($49.00) Think Gatsby Havana. Think is the brand; Gatsby is the model; and Havana is the color or style. I just inked it today, and am getting to know the pen. I'll write a proper review in a few days. I notice there aren't many reviews of Think pens, and I'm thinking this pen deserves one.

Today I received my Pelikan M200 and Pilot Vanishing Point, and I love both! Especially the M200, it writes just incredibly smooth.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
