I just got a Meisterstuck 8 cc wallet / billfold. Nothing special, just traditional. I thought long and hard on this before I bought it as I thought perhaps MB leather was not up to snuff, and yes, am I the kind of guy that wants a snowflake on his wallet. Well, I must admit, now that I have it full of all my stuff, it's superb. It just works real well for me. I ran into some one at the boutique that had an older one, and it had aged beautifully. I highly recommend this albeit pricey but terrific wallet.

I have one too. If you're going to buy a once in a lifetime item then a Montblanc wallet has to be the one. Mine is a Meisterstuck 4cc with a coin compartment. Love it to bits! I can't afford to put any money in it but, well, I don't really care. smile.gif

I am standing, foot in hand, talking to my wall, I'm not quite right at all...am I?

I almost got the same one as you, but in the end, the overall dimensions of the 8 cc billfold fit my uses better. Yes, this is perhaps one of life's little indulgences, and life is too short, so, enjoy. I agree, however, that once you spend the money on the wallet, there is little to none left over to put into it. Maybe that's why the wallet looks so good for so long.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
