The nib only got a M marking nothing else, the guy who sold it to me said that it's 14C solid gold.

Best regards.

It may be an upscale variation of the Super Master, although with a body like that it might have another name; I've never seen one in which the cap engulfed the joint quite like that.

The point is likely to be plated steel rather than gold, though-- it looks exactly like what I'm used to seeing in the Super Masters.  The similar but slightly larger point on the older Master had the gold content indicated on it, and Waterman has never been shy about saying something is gold when that's the case.

Ernst is most probably correct. From the section it's from that model line and while the catalogue I have only shows the lacquer models it states available in medium and fine only. The pens shown have are circle around the root of the split and there are no nib markings.

So what is this then.

which means there were other variations of the theme.

Thank you Ernst and Force for replying,

This one was a set with a ballpoint pen, I just bought the fountain pen, and also the guy had another one which was gold plated, but asked too much for it so did not get it.

Best regards.

I just found this on ebay and it's exactly what I have, this says gold filled but the images show no markings about it, mine doesn't as well, so I can assume mine is also gold filled body and cap?

Best regards.

Oh, nuts.  Someone one eBay using me as an authority?  Haven't they seen the horrifying lack of citations on my site?!

It certainly looks like the same thing as yours, but without some reference to an impression indicating it's gold-filled (and if yours doesn't have it, the eBay one probably doesn't either), you're probably best to assume it's plated until someone discovers a good catalogue reference to that trim.
