It is a rose bead that I got from Amazon. They called it synthetic turquoise, but it looks and feels the same as the black on the pen.

 

Took a look, and yes they are nice. Thanks for the tip.

Lingmo Green

 

Just got the green Lingmo pen and I like. It:s currently loaded with Pelikan Brown and it's a little skippy. I think the tines are very tight, so will use some shims on it and try to get it flowing a little bit better. It:s a little thin also near the nib, so you can see the ink lurking around the end after refilling.

 

$20 AUD.. noice.

I'm pretty sure they were sold under the Jinhao brand a year or two ago, with a coloured 'pearl' at the end of the cap finial. My liking of the design was such I never got one, and then the design disappeared. They were around the £7 mark at the time.

I'm a total sucker for white pens, and the off-white and gold go exceedingly well together. The nib's decent enough, as always, and I loooove the size and shape of the x450. It could stand to be 10 grams lighter if you ask me, but eh, everything else fits, so I'm not about to complain (much) - it's a 5€ pen, I wouldn't expect something completely flawless. It's surprising enough that you can get such a pen for that kind of money as it is.

 

The ink, by the way, is Standardgraph Burgundy, which is a slightly complicated but very very pretty ink, if you can actually find some, and the quote is the beginning of Caesar's De Bello Gallico, because if I procrastinate by taking photos of my pens, I might as well do it with style.

Oh gosh, don't tempt me. I've got three more pens on the way already.

I do have to admit, though, that I prefer white+gold over white+silver, as a sort of nod to 18th century interior design.

Say Hi to the Wing Sung 322. Actual celluloid, Sheaffer Trimph-style EF nib, and one of my favorite Chinese pens.

I can say that now; two of the three pens I've mentioned are WS 322, so I have all I need

I ordered another one in red (those are the exact same material as my guitar picks, and I couldn't resist having an exact match for my favorite ones), and a second green one for my accordion teacher - she dubbed this one "the elven pen" within 10 seconds of seeing it, and since my reaction to first meeting her was "holy (bleep) it's a wood elf", the opportunity was simply too good.

 

The quote this time is the beginning of Ecce Gratum, from the Carmina Burana, although I'm more thinking of [this] than the Orff version, which is generally way more epic-sounding than most of the songs would merit.

Nah, I always need more pens. Thing is, I have a 159 in black, and while it's a great pen, quality wise, it's so heavy and huge that I don't use it frequently enough to warrant getting another one, especially at the price I've seen that one go for. If you ever come across a white/gold x750, on the other hand...

 

Yep! I rarely come across green pens in a shade I actually like, but this one is a real beauty - the photo doesn't quite do it justice. In fact, the pen is very slim and small, but probably the one I get most comments on. I'm not quite sure how, but it seems to stand out more than my super blingy Kaigelu 316.

I ordered a white X450. I agree with you that gold and white is a good match although some say about the white Waterman Élégance for instance that it could be a feminine pen.

I've never used or encountered a Parker Duofold so I can't compare it to that. The Kaigelu does write just fine. I have no real temptation to work on the nib with micromesh or mylar--it's just fine as is.

Thanks! I see prices between $ 25-30, but it looks like a nice acquisition.
