Inoxcrom Sirocco Guilloche Nobile, Litle Review

Last week I bought a Inoxcrom Sirocco Guilloche Nobile. The Sirocco is not manufactured for almost 10 years, but can still be found fountain pens NOS.

There are different versions, black resin, color green or red marble, but the more expensive versions were half resin and silver or all silver. You could choose between a good jib large steel or gold.

This version is one of the finest, the Sirocco Guilloche Nobile plata/plata, with a gold nib of 14k. The nib is smooth and really writes great.

The Sirocco Inoxcrom measured 14.6 cm long (5.748032in) and 1.5 cm wide (0.5905512in) and Sirocco fountain pens were the highest category of the Spanish brand Inoxcrom.

I am very happy with the Sirocco. This fountain pen writes fantastically and is really smart. You can feel it in your hands a thing of great quality.

This photo is next to a Twsbi Twsbi 580. The 580 is a great fountain pen, but to sign a contract or an important document seems tawdry and cheap next to the Inoxcrom Sirocco.

There is a ball pen and a mechanical pen also.

The worst thing is that Inoxcrom don´t make this great fountain pen anymore, but sometimes you can find NOS or second hand. The price is rising.

It seems like a serious pen, I had a look on EBay a while ago but the price keep me off...Maybe one day.

Thank you rizo! I don't own any Inoxcrom, but I have several other older Spanish pens and they all are lovely. By the way, do you have any Caravels in your collection?

I have got a Caravel II. There are two Caravels, the Caravel (I) is a the big one, very similar to the Montblanc 146, but I see comparatives and the Caravel write much better and is his time was very much cheaper than the Montblanc. I have the Caravel II, the smaller one, its is more like a Montblanc 145

My Caravel II is a very good fountain pen, but Caravels are difficult to find, because were made for only 2 or 3 years.

I recommend you not miss an opportunity. When I have a Montblanc in hand I feel that it is a good fountain pen but it costs more than it is worth, however, when I have a Inoxcrom on hand at all times, even the cheaper, I have the feeling that it is a good fountain pen that costs less than it's worth.

The Sirocco was the best fountain pen built by Inoxcrom, but are also first class the Andreas, Caravel and Corinthian. The Corinthians, alongside the Sirocco, are my favorite and are fantastic, both black as the rarest blue. If you find online or in a store one Sirocco, Caravel or Corinthian, do not hesitate.

The family (not totally complete) of Sirocco

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
