Dearest Members and Visitors of the little Fountain Pen Nut house on the digital prairie,

Today it was time for a bit of routine maintenance, and for a security fix to be implemented.

The latter took only 10 minutes, the former a bit more than planned, unfortunately, due to a corruption in the sessions table. This table was fixed eventually and hopefully resolves problems several of our members were having, amongst others not being able to log in. Apologies for the fact that this took longer than planned originally. Unfortunately things do happen occasionally.

Anyway, all done again, so enjoy!

Warm regards, Wim

Indeed! thank you very much, better to be down intentionally for a few hours than unintentionally for days! Your work is noticed and appreciated!

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Which of those two is now? - Alan Parsons Project The Time Machine - Temporalia (Paraphrased)

Thank you!

The idea was to create a backup and implement a security fix, but before doing a backup we always do a check of the database, and we found there to be a small corruption in the table which store temporary information relevant to any sessions on the site. As this coincided with a few messages from people having difficulties logging in, the link was quickly made.

We fixed it, even if we hadn't expected to have to do anything like that :).

Warm regards, Wim
