Great Price On Pilot 350 Ml Ink?

I just noticed Amazon ads for 350 ml bottles of Pilot ink for around $20.75 including shipping. This strikes me as a great deal for slightly under 6 cents per ml.

Anyway, here's the current URL for the blue-black if anyone wants it and hasn't heard about it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001P35A74/ref=sr_1_2_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1438042540&sr=8-2&keywords=350+ml+pilot+ink&condition=new

I just paid $12 for Namiki 60 ml, so I realize that I should have gotten the big size. Live and learn.

Wow. Thanks. Too good to turn down. Note that some sellers offer tracking, etc., while most don't, all for about the same price. Sellers vary a bit in ratings and volume, too.

Can someone confirm that this really is fountain pen ink? Searching for Pilot ink on Amazon also brings up Drawing ink.

Yes, read the customer reviews. It is fountain pen ink, and Pilot makes a very high quality ink. This is an amazing deal if you need ink for your fountain pens.

It seams that only the Blue-Black and Red are FP inks.

The price is so good that I am REALLY tempted to buy some; black and maybe blue-black.

But 350 ml is like 7 standard 50ml bottles. That is a LOT of ink for a single person to use.

Even worse for 2 bottles; 2x 350ml bottles (1 black + 1 blue-black) would be like 14x 50ml bottles.

And I already have a lifetimes supply of ink in my ink stash.

I can see 350ml if I was supplying a classroom of students, which it was probably meant for.

However, I can buy a bottle (or two), then share it with others at the local Pen Posse/pen club.

I just thought of where it would pay off.

If you do pen repair work, this would be cheap ink that you can use to test your pens. YES.

I was tempted to buy the black as well but most of the reviews I saw said it was a washed out black which I do not like.

The Black and Blue-Black are permanent inks, the Blue is semi-permanent, while the Red and Green are washable.

These inks are available in 30 ml bottles and cartridges.

The Black, Blue-Black and Blue are also available in 70 ml bottles as well as the 350 ml bottles.

They are sometimes labelled Pilot Namiki.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
