Wow!

Beautiful pen with amazing nib. It's almost a crisp italic!

:puddle: :puddle:

Thanks! I really should have acknowledged you as my source of inspiration to get this edition.

And it's so nice to be an inspiration instead of a warning. :)

All your recent posts are delightful, to say the least. Have you ever tried a Vac700 stub / Kon-Peki combo?

Well done Inkfillet :)

It's good when the ink play well with the water....

Today at the Robot party, Kubik the Box Robot picked up a fountain pen owned by Igor the Rat, a fatal decision...

Yes, I have. And I didn't like it... But that is mostly because I read so many good things about Kon-peki, that when I finally bought a bottle, it just didn't live up to the hype.

I use it with my Aurora 88P (Fine nib). So far, so good.

Hi!!!

Today Kaweco pens has a good reputation, but I don`t like this kind of brand ressurection... New Eversharp... New Kaweco... New Esterbrook...

Almost all my pens are vintage pens.

Vintage Kaweco Dia, is a great pen and you don`t need to sell one of your kidneys to buy one...

Cheers!

More you say? Not sure if you wanted more Wilde, or more of my writing. Fortunately, you'll get more Wilde, and unfortunately, more of my writing as well. With pens, of course.

I've always been jealous of the trees too. I wrote this in 1971:

Oh little Sequoia, a standing in the wood,

I hear you laughing at me,

Yes I know how silly it is

Running hither and yon.

But you need to be careful,

little tree,

The very thing that can bring you down,

is all that mobility.

Oh I like this very much as well :D

Eli, thank you for the comment on my sketch. How's your Kurrent practice going?

Skysora, SNAK asked the same question, the sketchbook I'm using is from a Daiso, a Japanese store chain.

I don't think it's even designed to be a sketchbook, but I find the paper to be very fountain pen friendly.

A great shading ink, I love the effects

But this ink has 2 faces, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Don't let it sit unused in a pen for several weeks, otherwise it will turn into a smeary oily fluid which will never dry again on the paper.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
