Goulet Pens announced today that they are reducing prices on de Atramentis and Rohrer & Klingner inks by 20% during the month of July. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Almost enough for me to place an order.... And as I'll be paying for postage to Australia, I guess I'll need to order other 'stuff' - to justify the cost of postage of course! ;)

I saw De Atramentis at Dymocks for 50% off. I'm in Sydney. :) So this was $12.50 AUD for a 35mL bottle. They have a lot from the alcohol based range (not sure what it's called) and a few normal ones.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
