Woah, An Intro, So It Is!

Greeting, FPN users!

(The few reading this, at any rate)

I'm uh, Julian, of Poland. Not to worry, I speak (Hopefully) Flawless English - Or at least what is required to speak with the many of you.

I'm not much of a fountain pen fanatic. In fact, I only own two pens, a converter, and some bottled Parker Quink.

However, I sincerely appreciate the style and simplicity of fountain pens. Hands down, my favourite writing instrument.

I wish that fountain pens were the go- to solution for writing once more, and not a novelty used by "Crazed scribes".

The vast majority of fountain pen users are rather aged, which I find funny since it is a very easy tool to use.

Myself, I'm rather young. Noone expects fountain pens to appear anywhere where I live. One particularly dull classmate believed it was a blade. People.

Anywho, this concludes my pointless introduction. I doubt my 15 minute work will make it far without many (Or any) Reading such posts.

Best regards, and thanks for your time.

Just an afterthought, I sure do like to use brackets, don't I?

Italics? More like importalics.

If a llama was my mama, then what would one be?

A riddle for the cleverest of llamas,

I'm bad at rhyming- Oh, I forgot the 'C'!

I have to finish this somehow, so, Don't star in dramas?

Welcome to this group. Now, for the important question, have you tried KWZ inks?

Welcome !

Three generations ago, "pen" meant fountain pen. From corporate executives to store cashiers, there were available reliable and useful writing instruments. Those days produced the most wonderful variety of fountain pens.

I am pleased to greet you.

Hey!

I'm also young, and I prefer fountain pens too. Everyone thinks I'm a bit crazy... but maybe in a good way. Don't worry about it. There are lots of users on this site, some of them own a vast collection of pens and others are here to enjoy the usefulness and utility of fountain pens. No matter how many fountain pens you own, this site is for you! :)

Another time-retardation here.... but welcome to FPN.

It is a strange thing, people who value writing well usually are readers as well... must be a strange concept among Llama's....

Enjoy the forum

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
