To be honest I don't know much about Online Schreibgeräte pen company. It was founded in 1991 by Alexandra and Thomas Batsch. It seems they're quite popular in some countries and their products are rather good. I haven't however, tried any of their pens. I've managed to take samples of two of their inks from a friend.



The company offers six inks in funny and small bottles that contain 15 ml of liquid. I would sat that for 3,95 euro / ml they're not cheap:

I was able to put my hands on Samaragd and Rubin Red. Both are well behaved ink, however I'm not really keen on colors.



Rubin Red is rather boring shade of red. Decent ink in general, but there's just nothing special about it.

I know it's not a lot of scans but I didn't manage to make good photos of this one and the small sample is gone :)

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
