Denim Tag Notebook Covers

Been a while since anyone posted about these great covers from Muji. My last post on these was trying to find out if anyone had seen the black versions that were mentioned. I am keen to get more of the A5 (black or tan) and wonder if anyone has seen them at their local Muji? They seem to have almost disappeared. They are just so durable and amazing value. Anyone know where there are any around?

I emailed Muji a few months ago & was advised they were being discontinued. I did find 3 left over in one store, but haven't seen any since then :-(

They don't appear on their web site any longer, sadly. Hopefully I can track some down.

I found out about them only a month ago.

There were still some available at the san francisco branch. Only B5 size and only in tan color. If you want those then you better hurry and call that store and order yours. They've been discontinued. That's why you don't see them anymore.

I Called many stores here in the Bay Area, LA, as well as New York. No one has them.

The SF store also had the denim tag document envelopes. I Picked up several of those as well. Don't know how long it will last but once they are gone they're gone.

Good luck.

Just thought I would bump this thread again and ask if anyone has noticed these reappear anywhere? I did hear they popped up in black denim but never found them. Anyone?

It's probably been two to three months since I've been in the Muji here (San Francisco). I drop by to browse every few months or so. What I've seen is no restocking of the A5 and a shrinking stock of B5. I've never seen black.

It was reported in a thread on FPN that someone had seen them in Singapore but no other reports. That would be a very inviting product.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
