My Parker Collection (Thus Far)

I'm sure it will expand in time. I do love my Vacumatics, and plan to get more in the future. As for what I have now, some are Frankenpens or missing a part here and there, a couple have modified nibs. But I love 'em all.

Left to right:

Lady Duofold Ringtop with firm fine nib.

Moderne, Canadian with wet noodle stub nib.

Streamlined Junior Duofold in Moderne Green, replacement Weidlich semi-flex EF nib. "MS" vertical inscription.

Streamlined Ringtop Duofold in Jade, wet fine nib. "Muriel E. Reihmer" inscription.

Parkette with replacement steel Pilot EF nib.

Deluxe Challenger in Red and Black, flexible fine nib.

Black Challenger with replacement fine Vacumatic nib and Striped Duofold blind cap.

Vacumatic Debutante Golden Pearl with lockdown filler, two-tone medium-fine semi-flex nib. Missing blind cap jewel and tassie.

51 Vacumatic pencil with a Green Pearl Vacumatic replacement barrel (was originally a Dove Grey 51, but it had terrible cracking).

Vacumatic Grey Pearl pencil.

Vacumatic Major Azure Pearl with xxf semi-flex nib.

Striped Duofold Vacumatic in Green/Brown, Chevron nib modified into a buttery stub.

Striped "Man" Duofold Button-filler pen and pencil set. Pen has a replacement Challenger nib in fine, the pencil is missing a clip and has a broken jewel.

51 Vacumatic T7 in Dove Grey, two-tone clutch ring, xf nib.

51 Vacumatic Demi in Dove Grey, wet fine nib, "Buzzy Tom" inscription, replacement hood in Cocoa.

51 Aerometric in Navy Grey, fine replacement steel nib. Replacement Hero 616 cap.

51 Aerometric Demi in Navy Grey, fine replacement steel nib. Replacement Hero 616 "Small" cap.

51 Aerometric Demi in Forest Green, fine replacement steel nib. Replacement Hero 616 "Small" cap.

51 Aerometric with Ariel Kullock Olive Green Lucite barrel and hood, medium wet nib.

51 Vacumatic Ariel Kullock Demonstrator, fine replacement steel nib. Replacement Hero 616 cap. (A true Frankenpen if ever there was one. I can't even really consider it a Parker, lol.)

Rialto Matte Green, custom 1.1mm italic regrind.

Vector Jade, custom fine cursive italic.

Frontier Matte Black, fine nib.

Whew..! I like to tell myself that I'll give all my 51 Frankenpens actual Parker nibs and caps someday. I imagine it'll take a loooong time. And I have a Junior Duofold RHR pencil on the way. @_@ It's almost too much Parker to handle.

Nice start on the Parkers, as they only can multiply given the chance.

I will try not to hunt for pens south of the border [ WI ] I will leave IL for you. :lticaptd:

There is plenty of Parkers here in SE WI [ Rock & Walworth Co. ] still to be

had. I could post a photo spread of some of my Parker hoarding but I will not.

Enjoy your pens.

Yes, the "frankenpens" are not true Parkers, but some of them write soooooooo

nicely ! Still, we should give them away . . . . . , but not just yet.

(I think it's called "love". )

Here's where I go to daydream. :puddle:

Borders mean nothing when one is master of the eBay "sumgai" deal. :P Haha! I'm giving it a rest for now, saving up for a custom pen or two. But there's always room for a Parker on my desk.

Thanks! I enjoy them very much, and hope to help them live another 50-60 years in good care!

Oooo! The entire lineup! I think I'm going to have to sit here and drool a bit myself.

As for the Frankenpens.. well, they might get completed, they might not. But I like them so well, I don't mind either way. Must be love after all!

Nice cross section of Parkers!

Who did the Rialto regrind? Sounds intriguing.

Thanks! I grind my own nibs. The Rialto was my first nib grind, actually--I dropped the pen and part of the tipping broke off, so it was my crash-course in italics.

The only time I look on ebay is for something I am looking for. The next time I hit a great live auction for Parkers in Janesville WI. I'll show you sumgai and it is always pot luck.

Like I said nice start on the parker collection.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
