I was surfing Facebook and clicking some YT-links and came across this videoclip by R Kelly.

In it he is using a fountainpen (starts around 45 seconds). Looks like he is used to using one.

I think it is a Cross Townsend.

 

I actually like this song very much, although I did not know P Kelly before.

Anyone know if R Kelly is a FP-user?

That damn sure looks like a Townsend to me. ;) Between the video's resolution, lighting, and cinematography it's hard to tell which one -- probably a Medalist, but it could be several others.

I thought it looked very odd! But not knowing anything more about the film, I took it at 'face value'. After all, the camera never lies (haha)

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
