Pen Case?

Hello! I am in search of a pen case to store my pens.

I would prefer one with a black leather or brown leather look. Doesn't have to be genuine leather. I'm not looking for anything too pompous, just something elegant that can keep my pens in once place at a decent price.

It would love it if it had place for 3-10 pens. If it's cheap, I might very well buy 2.

Right now I'm using the gift boxes that the pens came in, but the gift boxes become damaged over time and it's rather difficult to pull the pens out from the gift box every time.

With the addition of that little pocket for a spare cartridge. ;)

I really like that addition. Finding a way to store a cartridge has been a mental exercise ever since I started in pens.

And it's been really useful, Delano. Working fine and never letting my pen out of ink. ;)

My first large pen case was a Sailor 100th anniversary ten pen case in a really nice brown leather. My current case is a Visconti 12 pen case in a black leather. They are probably both too expensive than what you're looking for, but I think a nice pen case can last a lifetime.

Not very long ago I think Fountain Pen Revolution produced a reasonably priced brown leather pen wrap. It looked rustic and I'm told was good and solid quality. Might be one to consider.

Just fixed it:

It was based on this one:

I added the pocket for the spare cartridge, as you can see.

And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

I have several of these, bought one at a time. I intend to continue using this method. The zipper can be tempermental,

but the several cases stand together on a book shelf. The pens are well-protected and convenient. If you are currently able, get two. This is a very good price.

Auf freiem Grund mit freiem Volke stehn.
Zum Augenblicke dürft ich sagen:
Verweile doch, du bist so schön !

i mistakenly seconded an ebay seller (pens_n_more) in my post above

in fact, i bought my case from wkiffin also

it was quite a while back and i got the cases confused as they are similar in design

i think the wkiffin is a terrific case

a little stiff and needs time to soften

the bands are quite stiff and i was worried that they would scratch the pens but they are fine

i assume it is indian made

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
