This is a scan of the journal next to a bright red sweater. You can see what I mean about the color.

Now, here is what is so darn cool, the pages lay entirely flat! I was able to scan this on a flatbed scanner with none of the distortion from the pages being round. Yes, these are actual pages from the journal and I'm using it.
