I am an international member - will have to give them a try - alas the exchange rate at the moment scares me though. :)

Would love to try this shop. Learned so much about the pen world from them and the videos.... Just need to put together a large enough order to justify the cost of shipping... those inks....

I hear what you are saying - although the Chinese, and Malaysian cheapies are including the shipping at the moment, just be aware the pens are cheapies, or fakes. LOL not all of us can afford to buy $1000+ MB's and the like. The one I purchased for myself from my fathers inheritance was my first and last. I actually purchased one of the Jinhao 159's via ebay for AU$6 or there abouts and although it could be used as a boat anchor (heavy) it writes quite nicely. :D

Received my first order from them this week and already have a full wishlist for my next. They make it so personal that I feel like I know them. Their informative youtube videos. were what led me to their site.

Joining the chorus of well deserved cheers for Goulet! When I first got bitten by the bug, I ordered some things on a Friday then some more the next day, then emailed them on Sunday to ask if they could consolidate the orders. :D And on Monday I got an email from a lovely fella in customer service (Jeremy I think?) who went out of his way to help. (and in the course of conversation found out he just recently moved from my hometown so we chatted a bit about things he missed.)

When the combined package came it had all the goodies plus a hand written note from the aforementioned Jeremy in Noodlers Apache Sunset, which was so gorgeous I had to order a sample in my next order.

They pack things with ridiculous care too, just like their notes say. lol

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
