Fascinating color. I have a couple of bottles. See a little Tsulki Yo, R&K Blau Schwartz le, and even Diamine Majestic Blue. Even e reminds me a little of PP Sapphire .....

I ordered a couple of bottles.

Good news? It's up to MB standards which means it's a well-behaved ink in all respects.

Bad news? When I added it to my running comparison of blues, I discovered that it is so close in color to Waterman Mysterious Blue / Quink Blue-Black as to be indistinguishable.

Both swatches were done with a dip pen. The one on the right is wet/saturated and the one on the left was blotted.

Top to bottom are:

Waterman Mysterious Blue

Parker Quink Blue-Black

Montblanc Twilight Blue

Yeah it doesn't have the vibrance. Doesn't have the same vibrance as Tsuki Yo. Closest in mine to R&K and does dry in wider nibs to a Blue Black....

Besides, the Waterman bottle is so much more convenient then a Montblanc bottle for filling a long nibbed pen when ink is low in the bottle.

Sorry, but I can't help being a cynic about this whole limited addition ink thing. It's a hell of a hook. I'm going to come out with a limited addition toe nail clipper.

Is the LE Clipper available yet?

Will it come with batteries?

And will it come in various colors?

Thanks!

I would contact Montblanc boutiques and authorized dealers. My local authorized dealer has ordered two bottles for me. They are expecting delivery in July or August.

My boutique gave me the same estimate. I really don't understand how Montblanc expects their boutiques to compete when they can't even get products in a timely manner.

I just ordered it from appelboom in the netherlands, with free shipping and without VAT the price is not too bad, I got a few Lamy's along with montblanc ink last time and turned out cheaper than getting it from Amazon albeit slower.

I'm guessing it was released earlier in Europe than the US. even the new Stationary is nowhere to be found on the US site, but it's on the UK online store and appelboom also has it.

I ordered a bottle from La Couronne du Comte in the Netherlands. It should be here this week.

Yes, this is the reason for my comment. If you look in the official product catalog that the US boutiques have, the release dates are the same as the European dates, and are the dates they tell customers when asked. However it usually takes them several more weeks to actually receive their stock. An internet savvy person could save both time and money by ordering from a European reseller.

Has anyone seen this for sale in the US? There's an eBay seller claiming "Montblanc has sold out!" and wanting $50/bottle, but I don't know if that's actually true.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
