Upcoming Limited Edition Ink Twilight Blue

EclecticCollector

Recommended Posts

A limited edition ink named Twilight Blue is being released in June as part of the new Blue Hour collection. So far my searches have failed to turn up any information on it, which surprises me as I'm rarely the first to learn of these things. Does anyone know more about this upcoming ink? The packaging looks quite nice from the photo in their product book.

Yes I'm familiar with the usual avenues for purchasing ink, thank you. :) I was more curious about the lack of discussion over this ink, since the JFK and Corn Poppy Red had quite a bit of speculation starting months before their release.

Sorry, but I can't help being a cynic about this whole limited addition ink thing. It's a hell of a hook. I'm going to come out with a limited addition toe nail clipper.

Personally the fact that it's a limited edition doesn't factor into my buying decision, but as a lover of blue inks I'm interested and curious about why it's not getting any attention like the JFK Navy Blue did.

Just needs more time and exposure -- there has been very little discussion about the Blue Hour pen release either.

I'll likely be the first to end up with a fake.

That is because it is a re-release of the original MB Blue-Black permanent ink. It's not as sexy as the Gandhi or JFK.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Ah, now this is interesting. Do you happen to have a source for this by chance?

Neither were the JFK or Corn Poppy at the time. I appreciate the help you've given me in the past on other issues, but I wonder why you feel the need to continue raining on my parade here.

It's sunny outside. I am going for a long bike ride. On my way home, I will stop by the mb boutique and special-order two bottles of twilight blue.

I always buy a couple of bottles of any Limited Edition Mont Blanc ink. My local MB store hasn't even received their shipment of pink, yet. Whatever this one is, i'll buy some. If it really is the old iron-gall formula, I will buy more; I really like to use iron-gall inks.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I am with you on this and seems 'grumpy pants' may be worn by some of our more learned contributors at the moment. :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
