How Does Noodlers Blue Compare To Noodlers Liberty's Elysium?

I fell in love with Noodlers Blue esp. with my Metropolitan, but also like the looks of Noodlers Liberty Elysium. Can anyone tell me the color difference between the two? Is it as concentrated and thick as Baystate Blue? Or is it a lighter color like Noodlers Original Blue?

Also, check out the reviews. I can tell you that while I do own LE, it doesn't wow me like Noodler's blue.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Interesting. I have LE and just love it --perfect blue-blue to me. Great for signatures on documents. But maybe I'll have to try Noodler's plain Blue, since it comes highly recommended... ;)

I don't have Noodler's Blue, but suspect that a lot of it was that Liberty's Elysium is partially water resistant.

Well, I just pulled up the swabs for them both (and for Blue Eel, and BSB just to make things interesting) on the Goulets' interactive tool and LE does seem to be a bit brighter a color, with possibly a tad more shading. Note that I was trying to look *only* at the written out name, and ignoring the swabs themselves.

As for American Blue Eel, it seemed to be a little more towards the violet edge of the spectrum (although possibly not to the extent of BSB. Which is of course also the most vibrant of the four of them).

Mind you, I did not look at them close up (i.e., with different ones in different windows, so really do a side by side of them in enlarged format).

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
