 .. this pen would be a million times nicer (and not counterfeit..) if you weren't using a certain German company's trademarked logo

We all admire the craftsmanship that went into this pen. You don't need to steal a Mont Blanc Trademark.

You should make your own logo and trademark it. Something with a Chinese character or two would be very attractive.

This pen is not going to pricing for sale

Because involves the infringement

I just for myself

I still think that you should come up with your own logo. The pen is beautiful. You could probably produce more and sell them.

It's a pity that you won't be selling your creations - they're beautiful and works of art!

Still, I respect your decision! I wish you all the best in your future endeavours!

I agree

Seconded.

I would say that the montblanc logo doesn't deserve to be on this pen. This pen deserves something better, something that's unique, special or meaningful to you the creator.

Just my two cents.

I look forward to seeing more of your creations! Beautiful pens they are.

You're doing fine with the translation so far, don't worry!

All the best!

You some stunning work on FPN, but rarely do you see the process to arrive at the end product documented so well (and with pictures).

Lovel pen and thank you for documenting the whole process. I'm one of those waiting to buy these pens from you if you ever decide to sell.

Please continue innovating. I understand that using translation software is difficult. I think that you are creative enough to have your own pen design.

i agree that a better logo is in order

though, notwithstanding the fact that montblancs are counterfeited more than any other pen and much of them in china, i think it's possible that mr. najera simply equates the montblanc symbol / icon with a really fine pen and so perhaps it is intended to say "this is a great pen"

though, i certainly agree, the work involved to design and create the pen absolutely merits sticking with it and designing your own logo

there are many options like this site: http://www.logogenie.net/logo-design that allow you to create logos very inexpensively

i hope you keep at it sir, nice work

I just found this, and holy (bleep)! I'm very impressed by the style and design of the pen. If you ever start making them for sale, I'm going to want one.

Looks really nice! I specially liked the metal connector, not only does it give the ink window an unique look but it also solves the structural problem of this sort of pen without affecting the ink capacity.

I wish success on your endeavor!

I wish I could do that!

Making things for yourself is quite satisfying.

That is how I started making walking canes. After a while, I had too many canes.

I felt even more satisfaction when I sold my first one for a good price.

You would have no trouble selling your pens for a good price!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
