Here it is, with the pen & cartridge and a button converter. I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

So you have done it. Thumb up. It would definitely work.

Best.

Why, you prefer that best describes you? A word that has'genius' imbeded in it. Resourceful suffices. Again, salute to you for being resourceful in finding a solution.

As much as I would like it to stay, I find ingenious superflous. What is superflous, I find immoral. That's why I revised it. Lol.

I have one of these pens like the OP's.  I tried the button converter, and it worked, but then the sac failed.  At that point I started trying to resac the button converter, but left off for some reason.  Maybe I'll try shortening a squeeze converter.  These are nice writing pens.  Shortening that squeeze converter was an inspiration, mitto.

I have nothing better to do, being retired.  I was working with another Sheaffer that turned to have a plastic insert in the barrel that I removed with a small but long screwdriver.  Then a piston converter worked, but I forget which pen it was.  Probably a later Imperial.  Too much stuff, but there is always a challenge.

Thank you pajaro. And same here. Nothing to do being retired. Sailing in the same boat. Lol.
