Dearest Members and Visitors of Our Little Fountain Pen Nut House on the Digital Prairie,

Some good news for those of you who wanted more of our inks: they are back! And they are available in our Ink Store!

Well, as far as we have stock already anyway :).

Galileo Manuscript Brown is out of stock, but It has been ordered, and will be available again within the next 2 to 4 weeks.

Dumas Tulipe Noire is in stock, and when we are running low, it will be reordered too :).

Our most popular ink, Van Gogh Starry Night Blue, is in stock as well, and we have placed an additional order already, just in case ;).

The Ink Store may be found by clicking on the FPN Store & Support Tab, at the top underneath the header, next click on the Ink Store, or in the Forum Quick Jumps Listing at the top of the sidebar on the right side of the forums index page, which also has a link to the store, or if you so prefer, for a direct link:

We are also in the process of creating another fabulous ink, and we hope to hear more about this ink soon - just keep your eyes peeled :).

BTW, do support us with a donation, as an FPN Platinum or Rhodium Supporter, and you will get a substantial discount on our inks!

Enjoy!

Warm regards, Wim

hello wimg, can these inks be posted to Australia without any restrictions. Better still, have you ever sent any inks to Australian FPN members

Yes, recently even, as in, within the last few weeks. Obviously shipping costs are higher.

We did run a bunch of trials first, and several members taking part actually are located in Austrlia and New Zealand. We did not encounter any problems so far, not now, and not in the past :).

We actually have shipped all over the world, ever since we started with inks.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

Are these now available to the rank and file members (i.e., not just to those who have paid for the higher level memberships)?

Also, is Voltaire Red not currently available? You only mention the other three. (I'd love to try a bottle of Voltaire, especially if it comes with a Charlie pen....)

We're still waiting for the Voltaire with Charlie pen :). Considering it is close to year end work for tax purposes in the USA, it may still take a bit more time. Besides, the pens haven't arrived in the USA yet, and not all dyes have been received for the ink either, I am afraid.

We'll make an announcement when we are ready :).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
