How about this? My brother-in-law brought me from India today. Two bottles of each.

I got these from Deccan yesterday. A 700ml bottle of Bril costs Rs. 67. (about $1.00 USD)

Both bottles are new stock. The Bril black is Jan 2015 and Bril Blue is April 2015.

I also got 3 bottles of each of these Bril colors: Turquoise, Violet, Laurel Rose and Green. Each for Rs. 18 - 60 ml bottle.

Turquoise, Violet, Green and Laurel Rose are new - Nov 2014 is the date of manufacture.

I think the group buy can proceed for inks that are available. I have lifetime stocks of all their available shades, so personally I have no reason to participate in view of failure to get their blue-black, but I think there are many members worldwide who might want to try Bril, so I think the effort may be worthwhile to get the inks across. In any case, good luck!!

You can now order Bril inks online (NAYY)

Some on India FP Telegram group have ordered and received shipment of inks and other items from the Bril web site.

that 1-litre ink jug looks awesome, and look at the price, just INR90/-. Must buy one on my next Madras trip, if available.

:) I am happy for Bril. With this well functioning website, hopefully, they should see an increase in sales. Maybe even add a few more colors (blue-black & orange) to their stable.

Thank you Rakshit.

I have sent them a mail inquiring of the possibility of internationl selling, and shipping. Will let you know their answer.

http://www.brilindia.com/shipping-delivery

They mention that international customers will have to pay additional shipping charges. I am hoping that means they are willing to (or have found away to) ship ink overseas.

They have been prompt with tracking and other shipping related information, so I am hoping that you will get a reply soon.

The 'out of stock' could very well be due to some of my friends in north india hoarding up on Bril :lticaptd: They have only heard but not experienced the beautiful & saturated Bril Royal Blue.

Rakshit.

Wow, that's the cheapest ink I have ever seen. With the kind of money I spend on Japanese inks, I can buy 10 of these and never buy ink again.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
