Francis,

I prefer a broad cursive italic. In the last round only fine and medium points were available. Will there be more nib choices with these?

Thanks,

Kent

Did the material for the bands change? It looked like the prototype had titanium bands. In this picture they look like they are made of white resin.

Yes it did :

"Minimalistica+"- with clip = Titanium furniture

"Minimalistica"- no clip = PETP furniture ( PETP being very hard plastic)

That is disappointing. I understand that Conid is trying to produce a more affordable model, but I would have spent the 40 euro to just get the titanium bands.

Francis, maybe an option to buy the minimilistica + with Ti bands but no clip for 260? Or maybe provide an option on the plus to replace the clip with just a plain Ti band?

I like these pens, but I am waiting for the larger king size LE to come out later this year.

Hi fountain pen friends,

Given the requests for titanium furniture, I'm sure this alternative can be arranged.

At least if you are prepared to pay the complementary cost of 20 Euros……

So total cost being 250 Euros with titanium rings

And how about the question I asked above Francis?

Thanks,

Hi Kent,

Sorry that i've forgotten to answer

Only stub nibs are possible at an extra grinding cost of 25 Euros

What I'm asking is, will there be broad nibs for sale? The last bunch you only offered fine and medium. I can have someone else grind the nib, but a medium is not wide enough for me.

Thanks,

Kent

Hi Kent,

Yes, a B nib is possible.

250 is definitely reasonable and well worth the cost. The titanium adds a nice touch.

+1. And if we can be a little greedy, a small stopper might be good as well.

Lovely pen. I think this has convinced me to buy my first Conid. :-) I'm a bit confused though - if we order on the website now, is that like a pre-order? Since you say that they won't be available until May... Or are there a few in stock and ready to go and no more will be made until then? What's the typical lead time between ordering a pen and when it ships out?

Hi Yogalarva,

The pens are made on order, so If you order over the website you will get one.

Production will start early May, and end May the pens will be ready for shipment;

I am getting more and more interested in these pens. Unfortunately I am at the wrong end of the curve that brings availability and money together. I just wish there would be some thought to regular production of some sort (I'm not seeing any mention of this anywhere, but I may have overlooked it) so that when I have saved the money there is actually a pen available to buy!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
