Oh boy! This is my favorite post in weeks~

I like how the Montblanc pink has a flashy aspect to it but also a darker, more serious side. It looks to me like the brighter, pinker cousin of BSiAR :P

What I wouldn't do to get a bottle of Levenger Pinkly... It seems to have Hot Bubble's brightness with Hope Pink's saturation... It looks awesome.

N.I.C.E. Bit more fluoro and bluer than Rouge Opera? I like its density when intense and the fact it seems to change quite a bit when shading. Edit: it seems to change a lot. Love it.

Mine just came today and is totally going in my VP! I also finally found some Levenger Pinkly, which is destined for my Lamy 2000. I am telling myself I need to empty out some pens first, though.

Great to hear about the shading! Thanks for the pics. :)

Where, where, where??? The only places I've found it are in Europe and the shipping makes it prohibitive.

I got mine at the Montblanc Boutique Toronto... I imagine that if it is in Canada, it should be all over the US.

Cyber6 inspired me to search more diligently and I can now report that Pen Boutique has it. Oddly, the MB boutique in Dallas didn't have it yet. I guess Texas is still the boonies ;) Thanks, C6, for the motivation; I had pretty much given up on having MB Pink in my inkventory.

I'm not normally a pink ink person. But I like the way this ink looks. It's pink but it's not "pink" if you can imagine what that means. A bottle may find it's way home with me if FPH ends up having it.

Wow! That is gorgeous. I wouldn't call myself a pink person per se but I would make an exception in this case. Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I'll have to pick up a bottle.

I would swear I saw it at Paradise Pen here in SA 2 weeks ago when I was there. I'm nearly positive. I could check for you if you like. Also, I found an MB Boutique in Phoenix that seems to specialize in the LE inks. I can hook you up with that number too. Someone who loves pink shouldn't have to work so hard to find it.m

I enjoy MB 146 pens, Sailor, Pilot and Platinum pens as well. I have a strong attraction to dark red and muted green ink, colors I dislike for everything but FP ink. I also enjoy practicing my handwriting and attempting to improve it. I love the feel of quality paper under a gold nib.

This is the closest thing to your quote I am aware of, but I am admittedly not as familiar with classic literature as I would like.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
