After many request from pen lovers who saw our Doctor Pens, but who went into the Law, or wanted a great gift for for those involved with the practice of Law , we decided to make the next in the Tribute Series a pen honoring that noble profession. Thus the new LAW AND JUSTICE PEN was born. The Law and Justice Pen, richly finished in deep Yellow Gold Plate and the finest in plexi-resin, come with our famous Semi-Flex Gold plated Ceramic Coated nibs (14K or 18K upgrades are available on special order as well!) And here it is:

Great Writers, these pens are a combination of European and American production...The Fountain Pens employ a piston-converter or cartridge system. The Law and Justice Pens also can be had in a roller ball version (upon request).

Available at fine Pen Stores or on line at www.wahl-eversharp.com

The phrase "Plexi-Resin" almost needs a legal disclaimer...

I have the Doctor Pen (in white) and have also given one (in black) as a gift to a graduating med student. They are wonderful pens...excellent quality finishes and great writers. Saving up for a red one in the Skyline Classics Collection now.

Hmmm, as a recovering attorney I may just have to get one of these if I can find it for the right price.

P.S.: "Wahlnut" is an awesome screen name. ;)

"Recovering attorney." I love it. Pretty soon we "recovering physicians" are going to outnumber you.

A word to the wise to Wahl-Eversharp: it's a double mistake a lot of pen companies have made, so don't feel bad. The symbol of physicians is not the two-snake cadeuceus, but rather the one-snake staff of Aesclepius. (Delta is the only pen company that's got it right, and they're having trouble selling their pen as well.) The second part of the mistake is assuming that doctors (and lawyers) still make so much money that they'll buy any pen with the symbol of their profession. Times, unfortunately, have changed. You need to market a pen to hospital administrators and insurance company execs--that's where the money is.

On a happier note, I've seen a photo of the new pen that's to be intro'd at the DC show. It looks really good, and I'll look forward to seeing it.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
