Francis, this is an excellent entry-level bulk filler! Congrats on releasing this. Many people have loved the filling system but couldn't afford the price. Bravo to you and Werner on this pen.

+1 Congratulations Francis and Werner.

Looking forward to reading of the reviews from the happy new owners.

Just placed my order, not that I really had the extra money to justify it in reality. But this is a must have item for me, sort of a gateway drug for this brand.

I hope you ship through regular mail and not a carrier, I use a Post Office Box for my mail.

Just ordered one this morning. When are these expected to ship?

In use today: MB LeGrand Pettit Prince and Aviator, Pelikan M100N, Conid First Production Run demonstrator.

Does this pen take the standard Jowo #6 nib unit?

Thanks,

Kent

Hi Kent,

The pen features a size 6 Bock screw-in nib unit.

As far as I know the housing threads are not identical with Jowo.

Given the feed is 6mm diameter on both Bock and Jowo, I expect at least the nibs should be swappable.

Thanks and regards, Francis

Thank you for giving us here a heads up on this.

Personally I have been drooling over your works of engineering art since I signed up to this board and this is so affordable I could not resist.

I have a feeling I might need more of these in the future.

FWIW. Just want to mention, if this pen had been offered with a broad titanium nib option, I probably would have purchased one. Even a broad steel nib, I might have. I just have no interest in a fine or medium nib. I know I'm in the minority. Otherwise I really like the design.

Hello Francis,

Can the nibs be customized to stub or CI by conid?

André.

Yes André, no problem to make you a 0.9 mm stub

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
