I am 100% sure steel colored one is not ambitious...

How to share the catalogue on this forum?

click this link http://www.ambitiousindia.com and the first thing you can see are the nibs (I landed on that page every time I opened the website). The lower set first nib is the steel one with flower. Or you can open the e-brochure on the same page for PDF.

I got reply from them, but they do not sell to individual seller i.e. Minimum order should be of 100 nibs. A Individual users can not buy such large quantity while he may require only few nibs. Bad luck for all individual uers who want ambitious nib

yeah i have once bought from them and they are good. The problem is that they have not posted about it availability on the website so don't know which type of ambitious nib they have.

According to a recent e-mail enquiry ASA Pens can provide stainless steel 35 mm Ambitious nibs in gold and chrome finish at $ 2 each excluding shipping. Pictures of my 40 mm gold plated stainless steel Ambitious nib provided by ASA Pens can be seen on page 1.

Dear Subramoniam, this is an interesting response. The imprint on the steel colored nib is quite generic and is found on a myriad of nibs of Chinese and Taiwanese Origin and the specific steel color nib on your pen is of a decidedly lower grade than the golden colored nib that you have. Does this mean that Ambitious is in addition to self manufacturing, now also dealing in nibs of foreign origin? Or is it that they have developed a die on the lines of the generic imprint. This is just a guess/possibility, for what it is worth.

Another point is that typically ambitious made nibs have a stylised A imprint, hidden towards the bottom. This is missing on both the nibs being debated, this alsomakes me wonder as to the origin of the nibs.

Usually truth is stranger than fiction, will we ever discover the truth?

Anyone interested in a group buy for these nibs? I could use a few #6. I can take 10+ nibs. But 100 is more than a lifetimes supply and i have a lifetime worth of wality nibs...

Please count on me, I will buy some to fit my Wality Pens, the pens are so nice but the nibs are one of the worst I came across so far.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
