Fontoplumo

I have now placed several orders with Frank at Fontoplumo. I have been very very pleased...

One order had an issue, and Frank hopped right on it provided the best solution possible. Frank and Fontoplumo are a joy to do business with.

I have no affiliation with Frank or Fontoplumo, just a very very happy customer. One more very good resource for all of us to utilize for our Writing Instrument purchases.

Agree absolutely

Had bought copper orange lamy fountain pen from him with no problem.

My second order consisted of 2 nibs has not reached me yet ( shipped with normal international post about 4 weeks back) but Frank was very supportive.

He has even offered to sent me the replacement nib , costing INR 4000 ! on his own .

He needs to be appreciated for his good work. Have decided to wait a little while longer on the shipment .

Just got the bubblegum/Barbie pink Kaweco Skyline on Thursday. Already had the Mint and Grey I bought from Frank, as well as the Lamy 2015 SE Safari, 2015 SE Al Star, 2014 SE Al Star, and several packs of LE ink carts. The only things I have bought domestically are the LE bottled inks. Frank rocks!

We are lucky to have some great merchants with which to do business :)

KEEP CALM AND BOOGIE ON!

Frank is an absolute pleasure to deal with, purchased several times from him and all experiences have been extremely superlative! He has even replaced a pen for me which got stolen on the way, it simply cannot get better than that!!

No affiliation other than being an extremely happy customer !!

What are the min. and max. time for delivery to India by untracked Post from Fontoplumo ? I ordered some nibs and a Kaweco Sport from him that were shipped on 3rd July. It is really excruciating waiting for something over untracked post. More so when you are dealing with a fine gentleman like Frank.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
