So how about an Opera Master Demo with the same red demo material that was used on the Red Millennium Arc?

I like this. But I'd like the blue even more

Im still trying for a Homo Sapiens Divina with Bronze Trim and inlay! But we will see.
I think this is a cool idea too, however, you really need to watch out for the pen weight... especially with the lava material and the way the divina is set up with a lot of metal inside.

1) I would like to see a Throw back to a 2001 series, a Portofofino L.E. that was a Piston feed and was made out of Celluloid, and came with it's special Sterling Silver Clip! This, in my opinion has to be one of the prettiest pens Visconti ever made!

2) Then something in a 175.00 - 250.00 range for all those who normally cannot afford these beautiful pens.....

Yes, this! Would like to see a stub smaller than their 1.3

Thirded. A 0.8/9 stub would be great.

Also, make the Painters series 1.3 nib available outside of the Rembrandt Calligraphy set.

I'd hate to echo better QC but...

I've had a replacement nib sent out to me because of problems with the original. I've also had a Rembrandt cap bad fall off taking the pen out of my pen box.

It has already been mentioned, but I would like to see more piston fillers. It does not seem to be their bag. I wish it were.

The power fillers are definitely cool, but piston fillers seem more reliable over time. These pens last a very long time; the filling system should accommodate that. The Delta ratcheting piston filler is a model of innovative design on an timeless concept. Perhaps Visconti could provide a similar innovation.

  • 3 months later...

Now the Visconti Opera Master Demonstrator Fountain Pen Crimson Tide is ticked off what will be next to appear ?

Some new resins for the Rembrandt range would be nice to see.

sinistral hypergraphica - a slurry of ink

I still remain a fan of their double power filler filling system.

maintaining EF & italic nibs would be at the top of my list also.

another vote for a 0.8mm stub. or 0.8mm italic!

I don't think Visconti has ever done an italic nib before though, is that correct?

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

I think a power-filling Voyager in the red demo material would be awesome. The Voyager clip is much nicer than the other one.

Personally I'd love another stacked celluloid pen, perhaps in the Homo Sapiens line? I like the HS maxi size and design but the feel of the volcanic resin material didn't appeal to me. It would be great if they could pay more attention to detail and quality control too, but at this point it's pretty clear that's never going to happen.

Am not sure if this version of the Homo Sapiens has been talked about on this site

Homo Sapiens from the stacked celloid in the Wall Street line. I got one from the Corsani shop in Rome and it is wonderful in the hand.

I wonder if they can do more versions like this

WOW! +1 and if possible with a springy 14k nib :)

I would like sterling and vermeil pens from Visconti. This is one of the few brands that haven't really focused on sterling silver pens, so it would be nice to see a good model from them.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
